Huntelaar open to Bundesliga switch

Friday, November 28, 2008

Ajax striker Klaas-Jan Huntelaar has revealed that he would be open to a potential move to the Bundesliga if a club comes calling 'with a big bag of money.'

The 25-year-old has been strongly linked with a move to Manchester United and Real Madrid in the summer but has remained in Amsterdam so far.

However, the Amsterdammers captain admits he could be sold should a club be willing to offer Ajax the right price.

Huntelaar said: "I can imagine that I will play in the Bundesliga one day.

"But at the moment I am fully focused on Ajax. When a club comes by with a big bag of money though, Ajax will have to consider.

"If it is better for me and for the club, it can be possible that Ajax will decide to sell me."

The prolific striker also revealed that Schalke have made an approach for his signature.

"That's correct. Schalke 04 wanted to sign me," he said. "It happens more often that interested club contact us. As a striker I am always interesting for other clubs."
