Coppa Italia: Lazio defeat Juve

Lazio fought back from 1-0 down to beat Juventus 2-1 in the first leg of the Coppa Italia semi-final.

Juventus forward Vincenzo Iaquinta had a goal disallowed for an extremely tight offside decision in the 18th minute. Replays suggest Iaquinta was probably level when Tiago Mendes released the through ball.

Claudio Ranieri's men went ahead for a potentially decisive away goal on 34 minutes when Marco Marchionni hit the half-volley which took a deflection on its way past Fernando Muslera.

Lazio came close to an equaliser moments later, as Tommaso Rocchi let the long ball fall over his shoulder and his strike was beaten away by Alex Manninger at full stretch.

The Biancoceleste were pouring forward and finally equalised through Macedonian striker Goran Pandev, who spun round Claudio Marchisio before finding the target from the center of the area.

Rocchi gave Lazio the lead in the 78th minute as he outpaced Giorgio Chiellini through the middle and shot under Manninger.
