Adriano’s future with Inter Milan is hanging by a thread after even his agent admitted he isn't able to contact the player following his failure to return from Brazil.
The 27-year-old was expected to return to Appiano Gentile on Friday, but he seems to have disappeared out of the blue.
La Gazzetta Dello Sport claims Adriano and his team-mate Júlio César were due to board a flight from Brazil to Milan, but the paper claims only the latter is on the flight home.
"I have no idea why he remained in Brazil," Adriano's agent Gilmar Rinaldi told Globoesporte.
"Yesterday he told me everything was fine, but then he didn’t get on the plane and I informed the Inter directors. I am still trying to reach him."
It's not the first time L’Imperatore has been late returning from Brazil, as he also failed to return from international duty on several occasions in the past.
The no-show comes just hours after Adriano confessed he was unsure as to whether he would remain at Inter for the final year of his contract.
