Mirko Vučinić has signed a two-year contract extension with AS Roma that will keep him at the club until 2013.

The Montenegrin striker had been locked in negotiations for months, and the Giallorossi finally made the move official via a statement on their official website.

The statement read: "AS Roma S.p.A and Mirko Vučinić have reached an agreement for the extension of his contract until June 30 2013.

"The player will earn €3.3 million for the 2008-09 season, €4 million for the 2009-10 campaign, €4.2 million during the 2010-11 term, € 4.5 million for 2011-12 and € 4.7 million for his final year in 2012-13

"Vučinić will also receive bonuses related to the success of the team. His image rights remain with Roma."

And the 25-year-old, who scored 16 goals in 35 appearances for the Lupi in all competitions this season, is extremely pleased with the renewal.

"It means so much to me to renew this contract," Vučinić declared in an interview with SkySports24. "I would like to take this opportunity to thank the club for the confidence they have given me."
