Atlético Madrid were denied their first win of the La Liga season following an entertaining 2-2 draw with Almería at Vicente Calderón.
Midfielder Pablo Piatti put Almería ahead in the 27th minute, but the lead lasted barely a minute as Cléber Santana's close-range strike brought Atlético level.
Diego Forlán, who missed a first-half penalty, had seemingly given the hosts all three points with his 56th-minute strike before Piatti grabbed his second of the evening with just one minute remaining to salvage a point for Almería.
