Maxi arrives in Liverpool for medical

Atlético Madrid winger Maxi RodrÃguez arrived in Liverpool on Wednesday to undergo his medical and complete his proposed transfer to the Reds.
The 29-year-old is set to sign an 18-month contract at Anfield, and will watch Liverpool's FA Cup third round replay with Reading tonight.
He will then travel back to Spain to tie up the final details of his departure, but could be back in England by the weekend to figure in the squad that will travel to Stoke City on Saturday.
Liverpool manager Rafa BenÃtez had hoped the £1.5 million switch could have been completed last week, but the Argentine was unable to agree his pay-off from Atlético.
