Manchester City suffered their first home defeat of the season after a 2-0 defeat to Everton at Eastlands.
The Toffees got their noses in front courtesy of a clever free-kick routine, with Mikel Arteta rolling the ball to Leighton Baines, who whipped in a cross for Tim Cahill to turn in with a trademark header.
And Areta wrapped the game up five minutes from time, slotting home after Jack Rodwell had burst into the box.
