Fulham defeated Hamburg 2-1 in their semi-final second leg to book a trip to their German opponents' home ground on 12th May for the Europa League final.

With the first leg having finished 0-0, Hamburg took the lead in the semi-final when Mladen Petrić scored with a dipping 21st-minute free-kick.

But Fulham set up the grandstand finish in the 69th minute when Simon Davies latched onto Danny Murphy's pass, turned centre-half Guy Demel before rifling home.

The hosts then dramatically took the lead when Davies' outswinging corner rebounded off Demel back towards Zoltán Gera, who took one touch before poking home from close range.
