Bayern Munich reached the Champions League final for the first time since winning the competition in 2001 thanks to a 3-0 win at Olympique Lyon, wrapping up a 4-0 aggregate success.

Ivica Olić broke the deadlock after 26 minutes and, with Bayern bringing a 1-0 lead from the first leg, effectively killed off the tie.

Lyon's slim hopes vanished when captain Cris was controversially sent off on 59 minutes before Olić grabbed his second eight minutes later.

Olić completed his hat-trick with 13 minutes left on the clock, heading home Philipp Lahm's cross from the centre of the area.
