Lazio defender Aleksandar Kolarov has revealed that it would be a dream to play for José Mourinho at Real Madrid.
Kolarov is one of Mourinho's targets as he seeks to strengthen the squad that failed to win a trophy last season despite president Florentino Pérez investing €250 million in new players.
And the 24-year-old has declared that he is keen to work with the Portuguese tactician, who Kolarov believes to be the best in world football.
He told AS: "This is great news that he has an interest in me and I would love him to be my coach someday.
"I don’t know when that will be possible, whether this season or the next, or who knows when. But I would like it.
"He has won everything this season and you cannot ask more of someone who has won three titles in a single campaign.
"Obviously now there is no better coach than him around the world. The results dictate."
The Serbian full-back has been highly tipped with a move away from the Italian capital following another impressive season amidst difficult circumstances with Lazio.
"I'm flattered that a team like Real Madrid have thought of me because it is one of the strongest teams in the world," Kolarov added.
"It also indicates that I am doing things right and that if I have a good tournament South Africa there will be even more intensive talk of this possibility.
"But for now it is only right that I remain focused on the World Cup."
