Fiorentina have officially announced that Siniša Mihajlović has been appointed as the club's new coach following the departure of Cesare Prandelli.
Mihajlović steered Catania to Serie A safety last season before resigning last week amid reports linking him with a move to his former club Inter Milan.
But the 41-year-old Serbian swiftly emerged as Fiorentina's number one choice after it was revealed Prandelli is set to replace Marcello Lippi as coach of the Italy national team after the World Cup finals.
A statement on the Fiorentina website read: "ACF Fiorentina announce that the official presentation of Siniša Mihajlović will be held tomorrow at 12:00.
"The new coach will meet with the club’s hierarchy tomorrow morning and will then be unveiled at a press conference at the Stadio Artemio Franchi."
