Barcelona began the defence of their La Liga title with a comfortable 3-0 victory over Racing Santander at El Sardinero.
Lionel Messi opened the scoring with a fine goal after just four minutes and Andrés Iniesta added the second with a perfectly placed first-time shot in the 33rd minute.
Racing striker Mohammed Tchité saw his penalty saved by Barça keeper VÃctor Valdés moments later and David Villa had an effort ruled out for offside before the break.
But the Spain striker struck again after 62 minutes with a pinpoint header to score his first goal in Barca colours and ensure a happy start to the season for Pep Guardiola's side.
