Villarreal saw their perfect home record in La Liga brought to an end with a 1-1 draw against regional rivals Valencia.
Aritz Aduriz gave Valencia the lead after 20 minutes when his shot was deflected in off Gonzalo Rodríguez after 20 minutes.
Villarreal hit back in the second half and levelled in the 73rd minute when Giuseppe Rossi latched on to Bruno's cross from the left to push it past Valencia goalkeeper Miguel Ángel Moyà.
Valencia ended the game with 10 men after Marius Stankevičius was sent off in the 85th minute for a second booking.
