Liverpool have completed the signing of Ajax Amsterdam forward Luis Suárez and Newcastle United hitman Andy Carroll.
The Reds have confirmed the Uruguay striker has joined for £22.8 million after agreeing terms over the weekend and completing a medical at Liverpool's Melwood training ground.
Suárez, who scored 111 goals in 159 matches for Ajax, will wear the famous No 7 shirt worn by the likes of Anfield favourites Kevin Keegan and Kenny Dalglish, the club's current manager.
"Liverpool is a very famous club. It is the most famous club in England," Suárez told LFC TV.
And Suárez will be joined by Newcastle's Carroll at Anfield after the England striker completed a blockbuster £35 million transfer to Liverpool on deadline day with the fee establishing the 22-year-old as the most expensive British player in history.
Carroll has signed a five-and-a-half year deal and will wear the number nine shirt vacated by Fernando Torres, who sealed a £50 million switch to Chelsea, also on transfer deadline day.
