The Netherlands moved to the brink of booking their place in the European Championship finals next summer after beating Hungary 5-3 at the Amsterdam ArenA.
Robin van Persie's early strike gave the Dutch a half-time advantage but goals from Gergely Rudolf and Zoltán Gera turned the game on its head.
Wesley Sneijder made it 2-2 just before the hour and Ruud van Nistelrooy made it 3-2 from the edge of the area in the 72nd minute.
But Gera hit his second goal three minutes later to give Hungary hope before Dirk Kuyt had the final say with a late double.
