Tévez was tipped to be the first out of the door during the summer after a string of run-ins with Mancini and the player's claims he could not settle in England without his family.

However, Tévez insists that he is now happy at Eastlands and he is looking forward to playing more regularly for City having made just one substitute appearance so far this season in the Premier League.

He told reporters on arrival at Ezeiza international airport: "Mancini and I had confrontations in every language but it's a love-hate relationship.

"He's a fantastic. He wants to be a winner and so do I. He told me to come to Buenos Aires to enjoy a holiday. He left me out of these first few (Premier League) matches because I told him I needed to get in shape.

"I'm happy at City and I'm not moving from there."
