La Liga: Real Madrid 6-2 Rayo Vallecano
Table of Contents
Real Madrid returned to winning ways with a much-needed 6-2 home success over Rayo Vallecano despite going down to 10 men.
Michu gave the visitors the lead at the Bernabéu when he scored just 12 seconds into the game - the fastest ever goal at the ground.
Cristiano Ronaldo and Gonzalo Higuaín had Madrid back ahead 3-1 early in the second half, but Michu struck again and Rayo was given hope after Ángel di María was given his marching orders for a second bookable offense in the 55th minute.
However, the hosts subsequently scored two more goals through Raphaël Varane and Karim Benzema in quick succession, and Ronaldo completed his treble six minutes from time from the spot to wrap up the win.
