Napoli moved to the top of Serie A with a controversial 3-0 thrashing of 10-man Inter Milan at the San Siro.

The visitors won a penalty four minutes before the break when Joel Obi was controversially sent off for a second bookable offense for bringing down Christian Maggio inside the area.

Marek Hamšík saw his resulting spot-kick saved by Inter goalkeeper Júlio César, but Hugo Campagnaro was on hand to score the rebound.

Despite being a man down, Inter threatened for an equaliser early in the second half before Maggio doubled Napoli's lead on 57 minutes when he beat Yuto Nagatomo to lift the ball over the onrushing César.

Napoli rounded off their convincing victory with 15 minutes remaining as Ezequiel Lavezzi slipped Hamšík in on goal and he slotted his shot past César.
