Yohan Cabaye scored his first goal for Newcastle United to hand them a 1-0 triumph over struggling Wigan Athletic at St James' Park.
The game remained locked at 0-0 until the 81st minute when substitute Sylvain Marveaux played the ball back to Cabaye who curled a right-foot shot past Ali Al-Habsi from the edge of the area.
