Manchester City took a three-point lead at the top of the Premier League after beating Liverpool 3-0 at the Etihad Stadium despite going down to 10 men in the closing stages.
Liverpool goalkeeper Pepe Reina was at fault for City's first goal as he allowed Sergio Agüero's shot to squirm under his body, before Yaya Touré added a second with a powerful header.
Gareth Barry was dismissed late on but Liverpool were unable to take advantage as James Milner scored from the penalty spot to seal the win.
