Arsenal failed to score for the second successive Premier League game following a 0-0 stalemate at Stoke City.
Having drawn a blank in their season opener against Sunderland at the Emirates, the Gunners were again blunted at the Britannia Stadium.
Chances were few and far between throughout the encounter with new signing Olivier Giroud volleying over the best of Arsenal's opportunities while Jonathan Walters scuffed a shot at the other end in a lethargic 90 minutes.
