Peter Crouch 'blames' FIFA for Ballon d'Or snub

Saturday, November 15, 2014

Peter Crouch has poked fun at FIFA by suggesting "problems" within the organisation is to blame for his failure to be included in the list of FIFA Ballon d'Or 2014 nominees.

There has been a lot of controversy surrounding the football's governing body this week as FIFA basically cleared themselves of any wrongdoing involving Qatar's bid for the World Cup.

The verdict has been heavily criticised by fans and Stoke City striker Crouch has weighed in to the debate in an effort to make his point.

While FIFA determined the 33-year-old didn't measure up to the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, Stoke responded to Crouch's disappointment and awarded the striker with his very own custom trophy.
