Aliaksandr Hleb has threatened to scupper a Zlatan Ibrahimović-Samuel Eto’o swap deal by insisting he does not want to leave Barcelona.
The Belarus international was included as a makeweight by Barcelona - on a season-long loan - in their bid to land Ibrahimović, as the Catalans offered €45 million and Eto'o for the Swedish striker.
However, Hleb is determined to stay at Barça and fight for his place rather than join Eto'o at the San Siro.
He told Bild magazine: "I have a contract with Barcelona and am currently preparing for the new season with the team.
"My aim is to make the breakthrough here and be successful with this club."
Hleb played a minor role in Barcelona's success last season, often coming on as a substitute to make 34 appearances in his first season after a transfer from Arsenal.
