Barcelona coach Pep Guardiola has confirmed that the club would not be signing Cesc Fàbregas from Arsenal this summer.
Barça have long been linked with their former youth player and there were reports they were set to make a mega offer after sporting director Txiki Begiristain admitted the club are interested in the 22-year-old.
But Guardiola believes Fàbregas will not be returning to the Camp Nou just yet.
He told Sport: "Cesc will not come.
"He is an important player for Arsenal and they have already sold Kolo Touré and Emmanuel Adebayor.
"I believe it will not be possible this season. He is a very interesting footballer but now he will play another year in England."
