United States forward Jozy Altidore has hinted via his Twitter page that he has signed for Premier League outfit Hull City subject to a work permit being granted.
The 19-year-old didn't mention the words "Hull City" but said his first match would be against Chelsea, which is the Tigers first opponent of the Premier League season.
A message on his twitter page reads: "First match is against chelsea subject to a work permit *wink* *wink* lol thanks for the support and love keep it coming."
Altidore moved to Villarreal from the New York Red Bulls in June 2008 for a Major League Soccer record of $10 million.
After showing some early flashes for the Yellow Submarine, the striker was loaned to Deportivo Xerez for the second half of the season. But he never saw a minute of playing time as Xerez gained promotion to La Liga.
