Spain maintained their excellent form as they hammered Belgium 5-0 at home.

David Villa missed a penalty after 22 minutes but then helped set up Valencia teammate David Silva for Spain's first goal just before the break.

The hosts increased the lead four minutes after the re-start when Villa beat his marker before firing a low right-footed shot past Belgium goalkeeper Jean-François Gillet.

Villa then found Gerard Piqué alone in front of goal one minute later for the defender to make it three.

Silva scored again in the 68th minute before Villa scored his second from an easy tap-in five minutes from time.
