Arsenal went third in the Premier League standings after a 2-0 win over Stoke City at the Emirates.
The home side were given a golden chance to take the lead in the 20th minute when Andrei Arshavin was tripped by Rory Delap in the box, but Cesc Fà bregas saw his tame penalty saved by Thomas Sørensen.
Six minutes later, though, Arshavin made amends by slotting the Gunners ahead with his seventh goal of the season.
And with 11 minutes left, substitute Aaron Ramsey notched his side's second after a nice run.
