Alberto Gilardino tucked home in the 93rd minute as Fiorentina came from behind to beat Liverpool 2-1 at Anfield.
Yossi Benayoun headed the Reds into a 1-0 lead from Steven Gerrard's free-kick two minutes before the break, only for Martin Jørgensen to draw Fiorentina level with a fine effort from the edge of the box on 63 minutes.
Gilardino then won it deep into injury time when scoring from a Juan Vargas cross to keep the Italians top of Group E.
