Blackburn Rovers picked up their first win in 12 matches thanks to goals from centre-back pairing of Chris Samba and Ryan Nelsen.
Samba gave the home team the lead on 25 minutes as the giant defender deflected home an attempted clearance by Damien Duff after Benni McCarthy's corner caused havoc in the Fulham penalty area.
10 minutes into the second half Blackburn were 2-0 up with captain Nelsen nodding McCarthy's free-kick past the helpless Mark Schwarzer.
