Valencia ended a run of five league and Europa League matches without a victory thanks to a 2-0 home victory over Almería.
After a goalless first half in which the visitors' goal led a charmed life, Los Che finally made the breakthrough after the hour mark when Juanma Mata fired a low right-footed shot past Diego Alves.
David Silva made sure of the points with a second strike seven minutes later, stabbing the ball past Alves whilst lying on the ground.
