Champions League Group E: AS Roma 2-1 Cluj

AS Roma bounced back from their opening defeat to Bayern Munich in Group E of the Champions League by defeating Romanian minnows CFR Cluj 2-1 at the Stadio Olimpico.
French defender Philippe Mexès fired Roma ahead in the 69th minute before Marco Borriello volleyed home a spectacular second two minutes later.
Ionuţ Rada pulled one back for Cluj with a 78th-minute header but the home side held on for a nervy win to register their first points of the campaign.
