Jefferson Farfán and Klaas-Jan Huntelaar scored in the last 17 minutes to give Schalke 04 a hard fought 2-0 win over Benfica in Gelsenkirchen.
Farfán broke the deadlock in the 73rd minute when he fired a right-footed shot after some dismal defending from the visitors.
The game was wrapped up with five minutes left when Huntelaar poked home a finish following a left-wing cross by Jermaine Jones.
