West Ham stayed rooted to the foot of the table on just six points after Alex Song's 88th-minute header sealed a 1-0 loss at London rivals Arsenal.
The Hammers showed great spirit and were close to stealing a fantastic point at the Emirates until Song popped up at the far post to bundle in a Gaël Clichy cross with only two minutes remaining.
