Cristiano Ronaldo scored twice inside the final eight minutes as Real Madrid fought back from an early deficit to win 3-1 away at giant-killers Hércules.
Hércules went ahead after just three minutes through a David Trezeguet header before Ángel di María nipped in to volley past goalkeeper Juan Calatayud for a 53rd-minute equalizer.
Ronaldo latched onto a Karim Benzema rebound to put Real ahead in the 82nd minute before adding his league-leading 12th goal of the season four minutes later.
