Two goals in as many minutes from Cristiano Ronaldo and Mesut Özil were enough to give Real Madrid a 2-0 victory over AC Milan at the Bernabéu.
José Mourinho's troops went ahead after 13 minutes when Ronaldo's free-kick blasted through a poor Milan wall to leave visiting goalkeeper Marco Amelia with no chance.
And Real doubled their lead 60 seconds later as Özil's shot came off Daniele Bonera's head before looping into the net with Amelia again helpless.
