Glasgow Rangers surrendered second place in Group C of the Champions League to Valencia after a 3-0 loss at the Mestalla.
The hosts broke the deadlock after 34 minutes when Roberto Soldado squeezed his shot inside the post after Allan McGregor had flapped at a corner.
Soldado claimed his second on 71 minutes with a low shot that squirmed under McGregor's hand and Tino Costa sealed the victory when he volleyed the third in injury-time.
