Villarreal dropped to fourth place in the La Liga table after slumping to a 1-0 defeat at struggling Deportivo La Coruña.

After a dull first half, Alberto Lopo pushed home a ball flicked on by teammate Juan Rodríguez for Deportivo's 60th-minute winner at the Riazor.
