Lionel Messi hit a dramatic late winner as Barcelona won their 10th Spanish Super Cup with a 3-2 victory and a 5-4 aggregate win over bitter rivals Real Madrid at the Camp Nou.

Andrés Iniesta put the European champions ahead early on before Cristiano Ronaldo scored his 100th goal in a Real shirt to equalize.

Messi restored their lead a minute before the break when he latched on to Gerard Piqué's cheeky backheel in the box and finished calmly past Iker Casillas.

The visitors drew level in the 81st minute when Karim Benzema scrambled the ball home in the area but Messi capped the spectacular and spiteful match with the decisive goal with two minutes remaining.

The game ended in a brawl after Marcelo was shown a red card for a late challenge on Cesc Fàbregas with team-mate Mesut Özil and Barcelona striker David Villa were also sent off in the subsequent angry exchanges.
