Claudio Ranieri made a dream start to life as Inter Milan coach as they secured their first win of the campaign by seeing off 10-man Bologna 3-1 at the Stadio Renato Dall'Ara.

Giampaolo Pazzini put the visitors in front in the 39th minute, before Alessandro Diamanti leveled with a penalty in the 66th minute.

Bologna midfielder Archimede Morleo was sent off after dragging down Diego Milito in the area and the striker stepped up to convert the penalty in the 81st minute, before Lúcio headed home the sealer soon after.
