Goals in each half from Toni Kroos and Rafinha helped Bayern Munich to an impressive 2-0 win over Villarreal in their Champions League curtain-raiser at El Madrigal.
Kroos gave Bayern the perfect start with the opener after just seven minutes following some fine approach play from Franck Ribéry.
And substitute Rafinha sealed the win in the 76th minute when he dribbled between the legs of Bruno Soriano and beat Diego López with a low shot.
