Juan Mata scored a goal and provided two assists as Chelsea secured a much-needed 3-0 victory against a lacklustre Wolverhampton Wanderers at Stamford Bridge.
John Terry headed in a Mata corner in the seventh minute to open the scoring and the home side never looked back with Daniel Sturridge doubling the lead on 29 minutes following another Mata assist.
And Mata got his name on the scoresheet with a close-range finish in the 43rd minute after being found unmarked inside the box by Ashley Cole.
