Euro 2012 play-off: Estonia 0-4 Ireland

Saturday, November 12, 2011

Republic of Ireland took a huge step toward qualification for Euro 2012 with a resounding 4-0 away win over nine-man Estonia in Tallinn.

Keith Andrews headed the Irish ahead on 13 minutes and Estonia's tough task was made more difficult when central defender Andrei Stepanov was sent off for a second bookable offence in the 35th minute.

Jon Walters made it 2-0 on 67 minutes when he nodded in Robbie Keane's pass before the Los Angeles Galaxy forward got on the scoresheet himself with a tap-in four minutes later.

Estonia captain Raio Piiroja was shown a second bookable offense soon after, before opposing skipper Keane wrapped up the win with a cool penalty two minutes from time.
