Premier League: Sunderland 1-2 Arsenal

Sunday, February 12, 2012

Arsenal loanee Thierry Henry signed off from the Premier League in fairytale fashion with a dramatic last-gasp winner in the 2-1 success at Sunderland.

The Gunners had seemed to be heading for defeat when James McClean put Sunderland ahead on 70 minutes in fortunate circumstances, but substitute Aaron Ramsey equalised within five minutes.

But there was more to come as the game entered stoppage-time when Henry timed his run to perfection to turn fellow substitute Andrei Arshavin's cross past the helpless Simon Mignolet.
