Verona centre-half Domenico Maietta scored a stunning defense-into-attack goal in a 4-1 hammering of hosts Torino in Serie B on Monday.
With his team 3-up at the time Maietta won possession as the last Verona defender, before immediately following that up by winning a tackle in a meaty fashion.
By this stage Maietta was facing the Torino defense virtually on his lonesome, but that failed to phase the 29-year-old as he took on his covering defender to perfection.
And then came the finish; an amazing 30-yard shot over the keeper and into the net.
Unsurprisingly the Verona bench went berserk after the goal went in.
