Brazil dominated the first half on Sunday, but they were kept at bay by England goalkeeper Joe Hart.

Fred opened the scoring for Brazil in the 57th minute before England drew level through Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain ten minutes later.

The Three Lions continued to show enterprise and they were rewarded again 12 minutes from time when Rooney got the second with a wonderful solo goal.

The Manchester United striker picked the ball up just inside the Brazil half before before surging forward and curling an excellent shot into the top corner.

But the lead lasted just four minutes as Paulinho showed great athleticism to volley beyond Hart as the home side claimed a deserved draw.

"Both English goals were beautiful, Rooney's one deflected in off Fernando's back, it was a bit lucky," Brazil goalkeeper Júlio César told Globo Esporte.
