Swansea made a bright start to the match and they got a massive boost when Adil Rami was sent off for bringing down Wilfried Bony after just ten minutes.

Bony put the visitors ahead with his fourth goal in four European games on 14 minutes before Michu grabbed a second with a driven strike inside the box in the 58th minute.

De Guzmán then produced a moment of sheer brilliance to seal the game just four minutes later.

Alejandro Pozuelo was brought down by a cynical and needless Éver Banega challenge 30 yards from goal.

And de Guzmán stepped up to produce a stunning curling effort into the far corner past the despairing and disbelieving dive of Vicente Guaita.

"I saw that they only had two men in the wall, but even then it was pretty far for my range," said de Guzmán in the club's website.

"But I thought I would try it and it turned out very well."
