Playing at Real Betis on Saturday, Ronaldo opened the scoring with a thunderous strike in the 10th minute in Seville.

The Portuguese winger received a short pass from Ángel di María on the left hand side of midfield and brought it further infield.

Ronaldo then shook off a challenge from a Betis defender before unleashing an unstoppable pile driver from 30 yards into the top corner that left Betis goalkeeper Stephan Andersen motionless.

It was Ronaldo's 31st goal in 26 appearances overall this season for the Spanish giants.

Gareth Bale doubled the advantage with a free-kick 15 minutes later and Karim Benzema notched his 100th goal for Madrid on the stroke of half-time before di María made it four just after the hour mark.

Ronaldo then laid on the fifth goal for Álvaro Morata with a bicycle-kick assist in stoppage time.

The ex-Manchester United ace met a Marcelo cross with a bicycle-kick that went into the path of Morata, who chested the ball down and slotted home from close-range.
