German newspaper Bild have recently revealed a ranking concerning the number of football jerseys sold last year, with Madrid and Manchester United are top of the tables with 1.4 million jerseys each.
And Ronaldo alone allowed the Spanish giants to cash in a significant amount of revenues, having roughly 1 million jerseys sold to fans across the whole world.
It's widely acknowledged that the Portuguese superstar has reached a popularity level in this sport like no other has in the past.
As a note of curiosity, Ronaldo sold more jerseys than most of the clubs featuring in the top 10 ranking list.
Despite no further information being disclosed about other players' selling figures, Ronaldo is certainly in a league of his own.
