Real Madrid president Ramón Calderón has vowed to bring two or three "high class" signings to the club next summer.

The supremo has guaranteed that those players he has lined up will capture the imagination of their supporters, although he declined to drop any names.

Real endured a difficult time in the transfer market this year, missing out on top target Cristiano Ronaldo and a number of top players.

Calderón, though, is confident there will be be a different story in 2009.

"There will be two or three important players, who will excite the fans," Calderón told Radio Marca. "We will not have any problems presenting them in June."

And Calderón did not forget about the winter transfer period coming up in January.

"We will have new faces arrive in seven to ten days’ time.

"There will be two young, promising, attacking players who will come to help the team and they will be able to play in the Champions League."
