Brazilian star Ronaldo, who returned to competition with Corinthians earlier this month after a year's absence, has stated on Sunday he wanted to score at least 30 goals for the club by the end of the year.

The 32-year-old, who signed a one-year contract with Corinthians late last year, started his spell at the Brazilian club on March 4, after coming on midway through the second half of a 2-0 Brazilian Cup victory over Itumbiara.

He played again four days later and started for the first time March 11, scoring in a 2-1 win over São Caetano in the state championship.

"The ideal would be to play one game a week, or about 30 matches, and scoring about 30 goals would be good," Ronaldo told local media.

"It will not be easy but we will do the best we can. Thirty is a number I like. It's a good target, and includes the two goals I have already scored."
